RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted five successful operations across the country, seizing 159 kg of drugs valued at over Rs 12.5 million. The operations led to the arrest of five suspects, according to an ANF Headquarters spokesperson.
In a targeted effort to curb drug supply to students, ANF recovered 100 grams of hashish from a suspect near a hostel on Multan Road, Dera Ismail Khan, and 500 grams from another near Giga Mall, Islamabad. A further 2 kg of hashish was seized from a dealer in Hyderabad, while 65 grams of heroin and 50 grams of hashish were recovered from an individual in Karachi’s Mehran Town.
The arrested individuals admitted to selling drugs to students. ANF is intensifying efforts, monitoring suspicious activity around educational institutions. In another major operation, 141.6 kg of hashish and 14.4 kg of opium were recovered from a vehicle near Islamabad. Legal proceedings are underway against the accused.
