ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People Party (PPP) has also filed a review petition with the Supreme Court of Pakistan challenging the verdict to allocate reserved seats to the PTI.  As per media reports, on Tuesday, PPP’s lawyer Farooq H Naik filed the appeal on behalf of his party.

The review petition adopted the position that July 12 Supreme Court decision on the reserved seats should be annulled and void.

Earlier, on July 15, the PML-N government has also filed a review petition in the Apex Court challenging the verdict made on July 12 about the allocation of reserved seats to the PTI. In the appeal, the PML-N pleaded the court to issue a stay order on the July 12 decision until a final ruling is made on the case.

The review petition argues that the SC should reconsider and withdraw the verdict, asserting that the allotment of reserved seats to the PTI needs thorough review.
