ISTANBUL: Turkiye’s Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) helped out more than 150,000 flood victims in Pakistan, suffering from one of the most severe natural calamities in history.
The aid group said that it distributed 13,272 food packages, 7,337 hygiene packages, 6,215 blankets, 1,107 tents, 4,500 mosquito nets, over 3,000 kitchen sets, and 100 water strainers after the floods started in mid-June.
Turkish group supports clinics
The Turkish group also provided canned foods and hot meals to more than 55,000 flood victims and supported 4 mobile field clinics in Balochistan and Sindh for 195 days that provided the facility of free testing and treatment. Around 34,650 people benefited from these clinics.
The Istanbul-based group also helped a number of orphans and their poor families in the country with income aid and food. – APP
