ISLAMABAD: Maciej Pisarski, Ambassador of Poland to Pakistan, said on Friday that bilateral trade between Pakistan and Poland had crossed €800 million and now both sides are focused on exploring more trade and investment avenues in different sectors.
Addressing Poland’s Independence Day and Polish Armed Forces Day celebration ceremonies here in Islamabad, the ambassador said that Polish is one of the fast-growing markets for Made-in-Pakistan products, thanks to GSP plus status and preferential trade system with the EU.
He said that Poland not only wanted to boost trade but was also eager to enrich and expand economic and trade exchanges with Pakistan to make doing business easier. “Polish is exploring ways to increase its presence in the fields of technology, green transition, and digital economy in Pakistan”, he added.
Poland Companies Jewel in Crown
Pisarski said that the great work of the Polish companies Exallo Drilling and Polish Oil and Gas Company was the jewel in the crown of its economic cooperation with Pakistan. Polish Oil and Gas Company has invested over $300 million in gas extraction projects in Sindh.
He further said that Pakistan and Polish established diplomatic relations sixty years ago and these have been solidified and matured throughout the whole period. “Both are effective international partners and close friends, working together for increasing regional stability and world peace”. –APP
