SUWON-SI: The Samsung Galaxy Ring is the biggest new thing happening on the technology front, but its price is really surprising. According to reliable tech insider Yogesh Brar, customers can buy Galaxy Ring at $350 in the USA. Initially, many expected the Galaxy Ring to be a more affordable alternative to the Oura Ring. However, with this price range, it’s comparable to the Oura Ring’s starting price of $299 and significantly less than the premium $549 Rose Gold Horizon version. It’s also more expensive than other options like the $269 Evie Ring and the $279 RingConn Smart Ring.
This price might not sit well with everyone, especially with rumours of a potential subscription plan. Similar to the Oura Ring, Samsung might charge around $70 a year or $6 monthly to unlock all health-tracking features.
Although nothing is confirmed yet, Samsung has hinted the possibility of a subscription model. If implemented, it could be bundled with the Samsung Health app, offering personalized health insights and coaching for the Galaxy Ring and the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7. This move could boost revenue but may not appeal to all users.
