Pakistan’s PM approves Lt. General Faiz Hameed’s early retirement

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif has approved the request of Lt. General Faiz Hameed, former ISI Director General and Commander Bahawalpur Corps, for early retirement.

Faiz Hameed’s retirement was due in April 2023 however, reports were rife that Faiz Hameed has decided to retire prematurely from service.

PM Approved early retirement

The development followed the appointment of General Syed Asim Munir as Pakistan’s new Chief of the Army Staff. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza was appointed Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. Lt. General Faiz Hameed was at present serving as commander Bahawalpur Corps.
