LAHORE: Waseem Qadir, the newly elected PTI-backed independent Member of the National Assembly from NA-121 constituency, announced his decision to join the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) after meeting with the party’s Chief Organiser, Maryam Nawaz, on Sunday.
During the meeting, Waseem Qadir expressed his full confidence in the leadership of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif, a sentiment which was welcomed by Maryam Nawaz, who extended her warm regards to the newly-elected MNA.

Several other independent candidates, including Rana Fiaz from PP-49, Muhammad Sohail from PP-240, Khurram Virk from PP-48, Taimoor Lali from PP-94, and Zulfiqar Ali Shah from PP-96, also announced their decision to join the PML-N, demonstrating their trust in the party’s leadership.
Waseem Qadir, who previously served as the PTI Lahore General Secretary, emphasized his confidence in Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, stating that his decision to join the PML-N was made after consultation with constituents and friends.
It is noteworthy that Waseem Qadir emerged victorious in NA-121 in Lahore, defeating the PML-N candidate Sheikh Rohail Asghar in the recent elections.
