DUBAI: Nationals of Uzbekistan will be able to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE) without obtaining a visa for up to one month from February 16, local media reported on Wednesday.
Uzbekistan’s ambassador to the UAE Abdulaziz Akkulov and Deputy Foreign Minister of UAE Khalid Abdullah Belhoul inked a protocol between the governments of the two nations on mutual exemption from entry visas.
The document increases the number of visa-free nations for nationals of Uzbekistan to 29 and raises Uzbekistan to 71st position in the Global Passport Power.
The UAE was visited by around 119,500 nationals of Uzbekistan, who spent 9.2 million dollars on obtaining a UAE visa, in the year 2023.
