ISLAMABAD: After a decline of Rs1600 during last two days, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold went down further by Rs.1,800 to settle at Rs.218,200 on Thursday compared to Rs. 220,000 last day.
Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow plate also witnessed a decline by Rs.1,543 to close at Rs.187,071 from its last day price of Rs. 188,614 whereas the rates for the of 10 grams of 22 karats of the precious metal decreased to Rs.171,482 from its last day rates of Rs.172,897.
Unlike the last couple of days, the rates per tola and 10 grams of silver witnessed a decrease by Rs.20 and Rs 17.14 to settle at Rs.2,660 and Rs.2,280.52 respectively.
Gold Price in International Market
Like the local bullion market, the price of the precious metal in the international market recorded a fall by $.15 to settle at $2,067 per ounce against $2,082 last day.
The price of the yellow metal in the local bullion market usually affected by the rates in the international market. Last couple of days witnessed a significant increase (except last three days) in the price of gold in the international market, affecting the local gold market. However, on Monday, despite no increase or decrease in the international market, the price in the local market went down due to some positive indicators from the stock and currency markets, followed by consecutive fall on Wednesday and Thursday.
