WASHINGTON: A jury directed Donald Trump’s ex-lawyer Rudy Giuliani to pay 148 million dollars in damages on Friday for defaming 2 Georgia poll officials Moss and Freeman with his false claims they engaged in election scam.
Giuliani was found accountable in August of defaming the Fulton County election workers with his 2020 polls lies on behalf of ex-president Donald Trump.
Giuliani, who led Trump’s legal matters to overturn the results of the 2020 election, posted a video of the pair that falsely alleged them of engaging in elections fraud during counting and made several other baseless claims regarding them.

Giuliani has denounced the damages award as “ridiculous” and told the media that he would appeal. He also appeared to double down on his baseless accusations against Freeman and Moss.
Moss and Freeman testified during the four-day trial that the false allegations of election scam made against them by ex-Trump lawyer Giuliani had completely upset their lives and they were the target of vile racist pressures.
As per AFP, Giuliani’s license to practice law has also been suspended in New York and in Washington for misleading and false statements” he made as part of his attempts to overturn the results of the election won by Biden.
Hunter Biden has also filed a petition against him accusing Giuliani of a computer scam for accessing personal data on his computer.
