Seminar Urges Global Action on IIOJK, Palestine Human Rights

ISLAMABAD: YFK International Kashmir Lobby group in Islamabad, in collaboration with SZABIST Islamabad, organized a seminar addressing the theme “Universal Declaration of Human Rights: Case Studies of IIOJK and Palestine,” highlighting the challenges faced in these regions.

Nader Alturk, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the State of Palestine, spoke about the severe human rights violations against Palestinians, calling for urgent global action to address these issues.

Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Secretary General of APHC, delivered a compelling speech, drawing attention to impactful human rights violations in Kashmir and Palestine. He questioned the apparent blindness of human rights champions to violations in Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine, underscoring global hypocrisy.

Adnan Haider, Anchorperson, stressed the role of educated youth, urging them to advocate for the rights of Kashmiris and Palestinians. Mumtaz Mughal, Regional Director of Aurat Foundation, and Shanila Ammar, Journalist, addressed the seminar, highlighting the unfulfilled fundamental right to live a free life in IIOJK and Palestine.

In concluding remarks, Dr. Razak emphasized the importance of youth participation and raising awareness about human rights violations. Zaman Bajwa, Executive Director of YFK, expressed gratitude to SZABIST University, encouraging students to use their pens as powerful tools against global human rights violations.

The seminar witnessed a significant turnout of university students and civil society representatives.
