RAWALPINDI: At least 14 brave soldiers of Pakistan’ security forces were martyred when militants attacked a convoy of security forces in southwestern Balochistan province.
According to media reports, quoting the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, the militants ambushed two security force vehicles traveling from Pasni to Ormara in Gwadar district on Friday. The ISPR expressed deep sorrow over the loss of 14 soldiers in this “unfortunate incident.”
A sanitization operation is being carried out in the area, and the perpetrators of this heinous act will be hunted down and brought to justice, as stated by the ISPR. “Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR added.
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani strongly condemned the attack, describing such acts as reprehensible. He expressed solidarity with the families of the martyred and injured, emphasizing Pakistan’s steadfast stance against terrorists.

Interim Balochistan Chief Minister Ali Mardan Khan Domki also denounced the attack, calling it a cowardly act that targeted soldiers responsible for protecting people’s lives and property. He paid tribute to the fallen soldiers and offered his condolences to their families. Domki characterized these terrorist incidents as part of a conspiracy to disrupt the hard-earned peace in the province and vowed not to allow any disturbance of the peace achieved through countless sacrifices.
