SARGODHA: Deputy Commissioner Captain (Retired) Shoaib Ali emphasized that the people of Kashmir have been struggling for their survival for 76 years. He made these remarks during an event held at the Arts Council Complex to observe Kashmir Black Day on Friday.
The event saw the participation of various dignitaries, including DPO Muhammad Faisal Kamran, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Mohsin Salahuddin, ADCG Umar Farooq, Director Arts Council Ghulam Abbas, as well as lawyers, doctors, media personnel, businessmen, scholars, teachers, students, and a large number of individuals from all walks of life. They all expressed their solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri brethren and wore black armbands in protest against the severe human rights violations in Indian-held Kashmir.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed that every martyred Kashmiri aspires to be buried under the Pakistani flag, emphasizing that Kashmir has never been a part of India in any era. He pledged unwavering support for Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom, highlighting that no law or United Nations charter permits the brutality inflicted on unarmed and innocent Kashmiris.
DPO Muhammad Faisal Kamran conveyed that all Pakistanis stand firmly with Kashmiris and will continue to do so. He acknowledged the incomprehensible agony Kashmiris have endured for seven decades and condemned the escalating terrorism in Occupied Kashmir. He paid tribute to the courageous mothers, sisters, and daughters of Kashmir who defy Indian atrocities.

Other speakers conveyed a clear message to the international community: Pakistanis stand in solidarity with the Kashmiri people until they achieve independence. ADCG Umar Farooq saluted the people of Occupied Kashmir on behalf of the entire Muslim Ummah for their unwavering struggle for freedom.
The seminar featured tableaus presented by students from various schools, depicting Indian atrocities in Kashmir, along with songs expressing their love for the country. The national anthems of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir were sung during the event. The ceremony concluded with prayers for the country’s development and prosperity and the freedom of the people of Occupied Kashmir.

Subsequently, Deputy Commissioner Capt. Retd. Shoaib Ali and DPO Muhammad Faisal Kamran inaugurated a photo exhibition illustrating Indian atrocities against Kashmiris at the Sargodha Arts Complex.
They also led a rally from the Arts Complex to DPO Chowk to express solidarity with Kashmiris, with a significant number of students and individuals from various walks of life joining the rally.
