KABUL: Police said on Thursday that two people were killed and nine others wounded in a blast at a commercial centre in Kabul.
Kabul police spokesperson Khalid Zadran said the blast took place in the Dasht-e-Barchi neighbourhood of the capital city. He said that an investigation team has reached to the side to ascertain the cause of the explosion. As per local media reports, nine wounded were shifted to nearby hospital.
Pictures shared on different platform of social media that could not be independently verified showed the sides blown out of part of a compound that was still blazing with fire.
AFP reported that Da’ish militant group has carried out several deadly terrorist attacks in the same area recently targeting mosques, gyms and schools.
