ISLAMABAD: The students of Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) have urged the Vice Chancellor, Dr Nasir Mahmood, to make the online registration and enrollment procedure for admissions simple and convenient.
The students said that they were facing problems in enrollment and uploading assignments.
The students said that they could not register for next semester due to the lengthy enrollment process, the absence of manual procedures, and poor internet facilities, especially in far-flung areas of the country.
Students Facing Difficulties
They added that students have to pay a handsome amount to the internet cafes for online registration and generating fee challan.
Highlighting their difficulties, a student said that in an era of high inflation, they have to pay 100 to 200 rupees to the bookshops for uploading their assignments on the AAGHI LMS Portal of the university. It is not affordable for the students to continue this practice on a regular basis.
