TASHKENT: A huge explosion took place near the airport of the Uzbek capital Tashkent in the early hours of Thursday, local media reported. As per initial media reports, the explosion occurred at a customs storage facility in the capital city.
The health ministry confirmed the accident and said that several people were injured and shifted to the hospital. Initial information shows that the explosion may have originated from a customs store at the airport. It is suspected that explosive materials were imperfectly stored in the facility, leading to this shocking incident.
