ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and parties said that iconic leader Syed Ali Gilani’s stance on the Kashmir dispute was symbolic of the Kashmiri resistance struggle.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, APHC leaders Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Yasmeen Raja, Maulana Musaib Nadvi, Imtiyaz Rishi, Muhammad Hazeefa and Abdul Samad Inqilabi said in separate statements in Srinagar that on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Syed Ali Gilani in September, Kashmiris will march towards to their graveyard in Hyderabad, Srinagar to pay their respects to the great leader.
They said that the people of Kashmir will also renew their promise that the mission of veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani and other martyrs of Kashmir’s freedom movement will be fulfilled at any cost.
They appealed to the people to show unity and the best way to pay tribute to the martyrs is to continue their mission.
Meanwhile, APHC AJK chapter leaders Altaf Hussain Wani, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Altaf Ahmed Butt, Syed Aijaz Rehmani and others in Islamabad paid tribute to Syed Ali Gilani and said his struggle and sacrifices will always be remembered in history.
They called on Kashmiris living in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan and abroad to hold protest rallies and demonstrations on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Syed Ali Gilani and draw the attention of the international community to the plight of the enslaved and besieged Kashmiri people.
