ISLAMABAD: Over the next twelve hours, meteorological forecasts indicate the likelihood of rain, accompanied by gusty winds and thundershowers, in several regions across Pakistan.

The Pothohar region, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir are all expected to experience this weather phenomenon.

In particular, isolated areas within the Pothohar region, Islamabad, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and upper Punjab should prepare for the possibility of heavy rainfall during this period.

Conversely, other parts of the country can expect a different weather pattern, characterized by hot and humid conditions. These regions are not anticipated to receive the same level of rainfall and thundershowers as the aforementioned areas.

Temperature recordings from various major cities earlier today provide insight into the current weather conditions across the country. Islamabad and Muzaffarabad both registered a temperature of twenty-four degrees centigrade, while Karachi and Peshawar reported slightly higher temperatures at twenty-seven degrees. Lahore’s temperature was recorded at twenty-eight degrees, Quetta at twenty degrees, Gilgit at twenty-six degrees, and Murree at a cooler sixteen degrees centigrade.

Turning to the weather forecast for the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir region, the Meteorological Office predicts a partly cloudy sky with potential bouts of rain, wind, and thundershowers in Srinagar, Jammu, Anantnag, and Shopian. In Leh, Pulwama, and Baramula, there are increased chances of rain and wind, accompanied by thundershowers.

Temperature measurements earlier in the day in this region indicate that Srinagar and Baramulla were both at twenty-one degrees centigrade, Jammu was slightly warmer at twenty-six degrees, Leh was cooler at thirteen degrees, and Pulwama and Anantnag shared a temperature of twenty degrees. Shopian recorded the mildest temperature at eighteen degrees centigrade.
