NEW YORK: The United Nations (UN) has condemned the Russian attack on Ukraine’s northern city of Chernihiv and termed it a “heinous” strike.

In a statement, the UN’s humanitarian coordinator for Ukraine, Denise Brown, said that it is terrible to attack the city in the early morning while citizens are out walking, some going to places of worship to celebrate a religious day.
