LAHORE: Zimbabwe women’s cricket team is set to make their first-ever tour of Pakistan, with a six-match white-ball series scheduled to take place at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi from April 29 to May 15, 2026.

The historic series will feature three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), marking a significant milestone in cricketing relations between the two nations.

ODI Leg: Part of ICC women’s championship

The three ODIs are scheduled for May 3, 6, and 9, and will form part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-2029. Zimbabwe will be continuing their campaign in the championship following their maiden appearance in the competition against New Zealand last month.

For Pakistan, the ODIs will serve as crucial matches in their own championship campaign. Pakistan have played three games in the Women’s Championship so far, suffering a 1-2 series defeat to South Africa. They currently sit fifth on the points table and will be looking to climb higher with strong performances against Zimbabwe.

T20I Leg: A First-time encounter

The T20I leg of the tour will take place on May 12, 14, and 15 at the same venue. These matches will mark the first time Pakistan and Zimbabwe women’s teams will face each other in the T20I format.

Overall, the two sides have met just once in international cricket—an ODI during the 2021 World Cup Qualifier, which Pakistan won convincingly by 114 runs.

Zimbabwe’s recent form

Zimbabwe had a tough start to their ICC Women’s Championship campaign, losing all three ODIs against New Zealand by large margins. They also suffered similar defeats in the three-match T20I series against the White Ferns.

The tour of Pakistan offers Zimbabwe an opportunity to bounce back and gain valuable experience on foreign soil against a competitive Asian side.
