KARACHI: Zimbabwe’s women’s cricket team touched down in Karachi on Wednesday for their first-ever tour of Pakistan, marking a historic moment for both nations. The 15-member squad will play a six-match white-ball series scheduled to run from May 3 to 15.
The touring party arrived at Jinnah International Airport on Wednesday evening and was warmly received by Pakistan women’s team manager Ayesha Ashhar.
After a day of rest, the visitors will kick off their preparations on Thursday evening with their first training session at the National Bank Stadium, alongside the home side.

Schedule breakdown
The series will begin with three ODIs, all to be played at the National Bank Stadium on May 3, 6, and 9.
The action will then shift to the T20I format, with three matches scheduled at the same venue on May 12, 14, and 15.
Valuable World Cup build-up
For Pakistan, the T20I leg holds special significance as crucial preparation for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, set to take place in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.
Pakistan will also feature in a T20I tri-nation series in Ireland before the global event, facing hosts Ireland and the West Indies from May 28 to June 4.
