Zimbabwe Women Set for Historic First Cricket Tour of Pakistan

Fatima Sana to lead hosts in ODI series at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium

KARACHI, Pakistan: Zimbabwe’s women’s team will arrive in Karachi on April 29 for their first-ever tour of Pakistan, marking a significant moment for women’s cricket in both countries.

The visitors will take on Pakistan in a three-match ODI series followed by T20Is, with all fixtures scheduled at the National Bank Stadium.

Fatima Sana will lead the Pakistan side in the ODI series, which forms part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025–29.

Series details

The ODI matches will be played on May 4, 6 and 9, with the first ball of each game set for 3:30pm PKT. Pakistan currently sit fifth in the championship standings with two points.

Both teams will train in Karachi from April 30 to May 3 ahead of the series.

Squad and schedule

The 15-member Pakistan squad includes a blend of experienced players and new talent, with uncapped Momina Riasat earning a call-up.

The ODI series will be followed by three T20Is on May 12, 14 and 15 at the same venue, with matches scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.

Officials said the T20I squad will be announced in due course as preparations continue for the full series.
