Indian authorities detained dozens of people, including Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke and fellow leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, ahead of a major protest in New Delhi. The party said the three leaders were detained aboard their flight to the capital as they travelled to join the demonstration. The arrests came amid heightened security across Delhi, with more than 30,000 police and paramilitary personnel deployed ahead of the planned rally demanding electoral reforms and the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
