UNITED NATIONS: United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres on Tuesday strongly condemned the explosion targeting a train in Pakistan, expressing solidarity with the Pakistani people and government.

“I strongly condemn the explosion targeting a train in Pakistan,” Guterres said in a post on X.

“Terrorism in all its forms is unacceptable. The perpetrators must be identified and brought to justice,” he added.

The statement came amid a wave of international condemnation following the terrorist attack on a passenger train in Quetta, with world leaders and foreign missions expressing solidarity with Pakistan and denouncing the assault as a barbaric attack on innocent civilians.

The UN chief said the United Nations stood in solidarity with the people and government of Pakistan following the attack.

“The UN stands in solidarity with the people and the Government of Pakistan,” he said.
