Tanzania Backs Saudi Bid to Host Expo 2030

DAR ES SALAAM:  President of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan has affirmed her country’s full support for Saudi Arabia’s effort to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh, Saudi media reported on Monday.

Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that Tanzanian President expressed the commitment during a meeting with Royal Court’s Advisor, Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, during his visit to Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania.

Saudi-Tanzania ties

Kattan conveyed a verbal message of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan regarding bilateral ties and ways to strengthen cooperation.

Kattan also extended warm greetings from King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the President of Tanzania. They expressed their wishes for the progress and prosperity of the Tanzanian government and its people.

Samia Suluhu Hassan welcomed the first Saudi-African Summit and the fifth Arab-African Summit that will be held in Riyadh later this year.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to boost and develop them across various fields. They also talked about regional and global matters of mutual interest.
