DUBAI, UAE: Sri Lanka women defeated Pakistan women by four wickets in a closely fought second semi-final of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, securing a place in the final against India.

Chasing Pakistan’s 131-run target, Sri Lanka reached 134-6 in 18.4 overs, completing the victory with eight balls to spare.
Pakistan had posted 130-5 after being put into bat, with captain Fatima Sana producing an unbeaten 47 off 36 balls, including four fours and two sixes. Tuba Hassan supported her with an unbeaten 12 off 10 deliveries.
Sri Lanka’s chase remained competitive despite regular wickets. Nilakshika Silva contributed a brisk 18 off 10 balls, while Kaushani Nuthyangana finished unbeaten on 10 off four deliveries to help her side cross the finishing line.

Fatima Sana also led Pakistan’s bowling effort, claiming four wickets for 38 runs, while Sadia Iqbal took one wicket. However, Pakistan could not prevent Sri Lanka from completing the chase.
Sri Lanka will now face India in the final on September 13. India had secured their place in the title clash after defeating Bangladesh by 40 runs in the first semi-final.

The defeat ended Pakistan’s campaign after the Green Shirts finished second in Group A with victories over Thailand and Hong Kong, while Sri Lanka progressed to the final unbeaten.
