DUBAI: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) team won the First Aid World Cup 2026, marking a global achievement that reflects the competence and excellence of Saudi personnel in first aid and community awareness.

The achievement also underscores the advanced level the Saudi Red Crescent Authority has reached in developing its emergency medical and humanitarian capabilities, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

The event was organised by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the DIHAD Sustainable Organisation, with teams from national Red Cross and Red Crescent societies from around the world taking part.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority secured first place in the Public Awareness Track, second place in the Innovation Track, and third place in the Response Track.

The participation contributes to the exchange of expertise and practices, exposure to international first aid experiences, and the development of national personnel’s skills, thereby enhancing the quality of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s training and awareness programs and strengthening community preparedness to respond to emergencies.
