Security Forces Kill Two Terrorists in Exchange of Fire in Khyber District: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed two terrorists and injured four others in an intense exchange of fire in the Tirah area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district, the army’s media wing said on Friday.

According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists killed.

However, Sepoy Waqas Ali Shah, 26, resident of Charsadda and Sepoy Basit Ali, 24, resident of Peshawar, embraced martyrdom while gallantly fighting with the terrorists, the ISPR said.

It said that a “sanitisation” activity was underway to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.

“Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the press release added.
