SLAMABAD: Pakistani Security forces have killed six Indian-backed terrorists in an intelligence-based joint counter-terrorism operation in Balochistan’s Pishin and Qilla Abdullah districts, officials said.
The operation targeted suspected terrorist hideouts and movements in Killi Sultan, Ajram, Dinar and Gelo, following actionable intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area.
Five other terrorists were also apprehended during the coordinated operation, officials said.
Multiple Hideouts Targeted
Security forces simultaneously conducted operations at several locations across the two districts, disrupting militant networks and their efforts to establish safe havens and plan attacks against security personnel and civilians.
Officials said the operation dealt a significant blow to terrorist elements operating in northern Balochistan and exposed links between interconnected terrorist networks.
The operation highlights the broader Fitna-Al-Hindustan BLA and Fitna-al-Khawarij TTP terrorist ecosystem and the continued threat posed by interconnected terrorist networks in Balochistan.
The action is part of continuing intelligence-based operations aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructure, restricting militant movement and protecting local communities.
Security forces have reaffirmed their resolve to pursue terrorist elements and maintain the state’s writ across Balochistan.
