RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held a phone call on Sunday with his Latvian counterpart, Baiba Braže, and discussed the latest regional developments.

During the call, they reviewed bilateral ties and discussed developments in the region and efforts undertaken in this regard, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The war between the United States, Israel, and Iran that began on February 28 has plunged the Middle East into deep turmoil.

Iran has been carrying out attacks on Israel and also targeting neighbouring Gulf countries that are not part of the conflict.

It may be recalled that, addressing the 43rd session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council via video conference on April 1, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, warned that Iranian attacks pose a serious and growing threat to regional security and stability.

He stressed that such actions risk escalating conflict, undermining peace efforts, and endangering both civilian populations and critical infrastructure.
