RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef has met with U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and discussed cooperation in clean energy and critical minerals, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
Alkhorayef and Granholm during the meeting in Riyadh also discussed enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States in the fields of mining.
They discussed promoting trade and developing non-oil exports between the two countries.
The ministers also discussed encouraging investment in mining projects in both nations and boosting cooperation in the sustainable mining sector in line with the objectives of the Saudi Green Initiative, a national plan to address climate-change challenges, promote sustainability, and protect the environment.
