ISLAMABAD: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, has met with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, in Islamabad and discussed regional developments.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Quadrilateral Ministerial Meeting, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.
The two ministers discussed recent regional developments and explored ways to strengthen joint efforts aimed at addressing ongoing challenges, promoting regional stability, and mitigating the consequences of escalating tensions.
Earlier, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agreed to closely coordinate efforts to promote peace and stability in the region, as Saudi Foreign Minister called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Sunday amid ongoing diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the Middle East conflict.
During the warm and cordial meeting, Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and appreciated the Kingdom’s restraint in the ongoing crisis, according to a press release issued by the PM’s Office.

While reaffirming Pakistan’s full and unwavering solidarity and support with Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister appreciated the remarkable restraint exercised by Saudi Arabia amid the current crisis and assured the Saudi Foreign Minister that Pakistan would always stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Foreign Minister also met with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and held detailed discussions on evolving regional and international developments, stressing the importance of collective efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the region, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Saudi Foreign Minister is in Islamabad for an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral engagement and discussing evolving regional dynamics.
Upon arrival, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud was received by Additional Secretary for the Middle East, Syed Ahmad Maroof, reflecting the importance Islamabad attaches to its longstanding partnership with Riyadh.
