VENICE: The Saudi Film Commission is participating in the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, taking place from September 2 to 12 in Venice, Italy, with an official delegation representing the commission.
The participation reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s growing presence at leading international cinema platforms and highlights the Kingdom’s expanding film industry, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
During the festival, the commission is showcasing the country’s production capabilities, including competitive incentives, advanced production infrastructure and support programs available to international filmmakers.

Saudi Arabia an attractive destination for film productions
The commission is also highlighting the diversity of filming locations across the Kingdom, further strengthening Saudi Arabia’s position as an attractive destination for both local and international film productions.
The participation is part of the commission’s efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s position as an international creative destination, promote international partnerships, and open new avenues for cooperation among filmmakers and international partners.

The Venice International Film Festival is one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious film festivals, attracting leading filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals from around the globe.
Held annually on the Lido di Venezia, the festival serves as a major platform for showcasing international cinema and emerging filmmaking talent. It is also known for the prestigious Golden Lion award, presented to the best film in the festival’s main competition.
