MAKKAH: The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Makkah and Madinah is conducting preventive inspections and safety patrols on the residences of Umrah pilgrims and accommodation houses in the central area of the Two Holy Mosques, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The aim of the exercise is to ensure that all safety and fire protection requirements are in place and improved during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the Civil Defense, support centers and teams are still working, with rapid intervention units and preventive supervision posts deployed for civil defense in Makkah and Madinah.
It stressed the importance of adhering to instructions announced through various media outlets and social-media sites. This is vital for the safety and security of Umrah pilgrims and visitors.
