ARAFAT: Saudi Civil Defence teams in Arafat are continuing intensive round-the-clock field operations aimed at strengthening public safety measures, improving preventive procedures, and ensuring rapid emergency response during the Hajj season.
Specialised field units have increased inspection tours across pilgrims’ camps to assess the readiness and efficiency of fire safety systems, emergency exits, evacuation routes, and other critical protective infrastructure, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
The inspections are part of wider efforts to maintain a safe environment for millions of pilgrims gathering in Arafat.
The General Directorate of Civil Defence stated that the deployments are being carried out under comprehensive operational plans designed to uphold the highest safety standards and apply advanced preventive practices throughout the holy sites.
Authorities added that the plans include continuous monitoring, coordination among emergency teams, and immediate intervention capabilities to address any incidents swiftly and effectively.
Officials also emphasised the importance of proactive safety measures, highlighting ongoing awareness campaigns and field preparedness efforts to protect pilgrims and ensure the smooth flow of Hajj rituals under secure conditions.
