RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has announced that Namirah Mosque is fully prepared ahead of the Day of Arafah for the 2026 Hajj season, as part of comprehensive operational, technical, and awareness-based services aimed at providing a safe, comfortable, and well-organized environment for pilgrims.
Extensive preparations have been carried out across the mosque’s facilities, including the installation of 125,000 square meters of high-quality carpets and significant upgrades to its infrastructure, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
These improvements cover modern air-conditioning systems, enhanced ventilation, advanced sound systems, and improved water services, all designed to support the large influx of worshippers during Hajj.
To further ensure smooth crowd management, the mosque has been fitted with advanced audio systems and surveillance cameras, while 72 designated entrances have been organised to facilitate orderly movement and reduce congestion, under continuous supervision by relevant authorities.
Additionally, 150 digital screens and 10 multilingual guidance platforms have been installed to assist pilgrims with religious instructions, announcements, and real-time support in multiple languages.
The ministry emphasised that these initiatives reflect its broader commitment to enhancing readiness across the holy sites, leveraging modern technology and infrastructure development to ensure pilgrims can perform their rituals with ease, safety, and spiritual comfort during the sacred pilgrimage season.
