Saudi Arabia Reiterates Commitment to Regional and International Peace Efforts

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet on Tuesday reaffirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering support for efforts to establish security and stability in the region and the world.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz chaired the Cabinet session held in Jeddah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

At the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on the contents of two telephone conversations received by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, from King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan.

The Cabinet reviewed the latest regional and international developments, reaffirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to supporting efforts aimed at strengthening peace, security and stability across the region and the wider world.

It also highlighted the Kingdom’s continued role in responding to humanitarian needs and providing assistance to affected and vulnerable communities worldwide.

In a statement issued to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said the Cabinet examined progress across various development sectors and reviewed achievements made at the national level.

The Cabinet also noted the Kingdom’s improved performance in international rankings and indicators, alongside the continued success of initiatives and programmes under Saudi Vision 2030.

The Cabinet welcomed Saudi Arabia’s advancement in the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook 2026, where the Kingdom rose to 13th place globally and third among G20 nations. It also highlighted improvements across all major competitiveness pillars, with Saudi Arabia ranking among the top ten globally in 74 sub-indicators, underscoring the effectiveness of its development and competitiveness strategies.

The Cabinet further noted that Saudi Arabia had retained first place in the Global Cybersecurity Index for the third consecutive year, describing the achievement as a reflection of the Kingdom’s leadership in this vital sector.

It attributed the accomplishment to sustained progress at the domestic, regional and international levels, as well as ongoing efforts to advance digital transformation, localise strategic technologies, and strengthen partnerships and cooperation with countries and organisations around the world.

The Cabinet also commended the achievements of the Health Sector Transformation Programme in developing a more integrated and efficient healthcare ecosystem centered on improving the well-being of individuals.

The programme has contributed to expanding access to healthcare services, enhancing their quality, strengthening comprehensive medical care across all levels, increasing the number of healthy cities, and advancing preventive healthcare initiatives while encouraging communities to adopt sustainable and healthy lifestyles.

The Cabinet reviewed the advanced performance of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program in 2025, emphasising its pivotal role in driving non-oil economic growth. It has strengthened the appeal of strategic sectors, including industry, mining, and logistics, while contributing to higher levels of investment, export growth, and local content, in line with the Kingdom’s broader economic diversification objectives.
