RIYADH: Nearly one million foreign pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia for the upcoming Hajj by the end of Sunday.
The General Directorate of Passports said that 935,966 pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia through all air, land, and sea ports.
The directorate revealed that the majority of pilgrims arrived by air and their number reached 896,287, while the number of pilgrims reached via land entry points stood at 37,280 pilgrims, and 2,399 pilgrims came via seaports, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The directorate said it is utilizing all its resources to streamline the entry procedures for the Hajj pilgrims with the latest technical devices operated by qualified personnel proficient in various languages.
