Saudi Arabia Condemns Israeli ‘Aggression’ against Syria

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strongest condemnation of the blatant Israeli aggression targeting military infrastructure in the south of the Syrian Arab Republic, describing it as a flagrant violation of international law and Syria’s sovereignty.

In a statement, the Ministry said: “Saudi Arabia reiterates its rejection of this blatant aggression and of Israel’s violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. The Kingdom renews its call to the international community to put an end to Israel’s violations of international laws and norms. The Kingdom affirms its solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic and its support for all efforts aimed at preserving its sovereignty, maintaining its territorial integrity and unity and achieving security and stability for its people.”

Gulf and Arab countries including Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Qatar and Turkiye have also issued statements condemning the attacks.

Turkiye also condemned the Israeli attacks “as a dangerous escalation” and urged the international community “to stop the Israeli attacks.”
