KARACHI: A low-intensity quake jolted Karachi on Thursday night, local media reported. As per the media reports, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded 2.9 on the Richter scale.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad stated that the epicentre of the earthquake was 10 km west of Malir.
Citizens of Karachi came out of their houses in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. However, reports said that there are no immediate reports of damages due to the quake in the city.
