ISLAMABAD: The leading run-scorer of each PSL season receives the Green Cap along with the Hanif Mohammad Award, named after Pakistan’s first great batter. Babar Azam currently wears the Green Cap after the league stage of PSL 2026.
Previous winners of the award include Kamran Akmal (2017), Luke Ronchi (2018), Shane Watson (2019), Babar Azam (2020, 2021, and 2024), Fakhar Zaman (2022), and Mohammad Rizwan (2023). Fakhar Zaman’s 2022 record of 588 runs remains the league’s single-season benchmark.

Sixes and Fours count before the final
Ahead of the grand finale scheduled for Sunday, May 3, the tournament has witnessed 579 sixes and 1,294 fours.
Kusal Mendis of Peshawar Zalmi and Sahibzada Farhan of Multan Sultans have struck the most maximums, with 23 sixes each. Usman Khan of Hyderabad Kingsmen follows closely with 22 sixes, while Steven Smith of Multan Sultans has hit 18. Babar Azam, the PZ captain and leading run-scorer, has cleared the boundary 15 times.
In the fours column, Babar Azam leads with 60 boundaries, followed by Kusal Mendis with 50. Fakhar Zaman has struck 48 fours, Marnus Labuschagne 42, and Sameer Minhas 41.
