2. Two Tons in a Single Season
Babar became only the second batter after Usman Khan (2024) to hit two centuries in one PSL edition.
| Batter | Season | Centuries |
| Usman Khan | 2024 | 2 |
| Babar Azam | 2026 | 2 |
- First to 500 Runs Four Times
Babar entered the match with 485 runs in 10 innings. In the third over of Zalmi’s innings, he smashed Richard Gleeson for a boundary to cross the 500-run mark, making him the first batter to achieve this feat in four different PSL editions (2021, 2023, 2024, 2026).
He now surpasses Mohammad Rizwan, who has achieved the feat three times for Multan Sultans.
Closing in on all-time record
With this knock, Babar has scored 588* as the season continues. The record for most runs in a single PSL season belongs to Fakhar Zaman, who scored 588 runs for Lahore Qalandars in 2022.
With up to two matches remaining, depending on whether Zalmi qualify directly for the final or play the eliminator, Babar is well-positioned to surpass Fakhar’s record and claim the top spot.
