PESHAWAR: A two-member bench of Peshawar High Court comprising Justice S M Attiq Shah and Justice Waqar Ahmed has sought details of cases from NAB, anti-corruption department and government against PTI leader Shibli Faraz, local media reported.
The court has ordered the Deputy Attorney General that a detailed report of cases should be submitted within 3 days and adjourned the hearing till March 5.
Earlier, the lawyer of the Senator Shibli Faraz, Muhammad Inam Yousafzai Advocate, pleaded the court to seek details of the cases against him.
The court said that on the last hearing, it ordered that this matter must be referred to the concerned court. The petitioner’s lawyer said that they did not know the number of FIRs were registered against his client.
The Deputy Attorney General told the court that there was no case against Shibli by the federal government and NAB had not issued any notice in this regard.
He further said he would submit the reply at the next hearing. The court has adjourned the hearing till March 5.
