LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member women’s squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to be held across England and Wales from June 12 to July 5, alongside a preparatory tri-series in Ireland.

All-rounder Fatima Sana will captain the side for the second consecutive major tournament, leading a group that remains largely unchanged from the one that whitewashed Zimbabwe 3-0 at home.

The sole alteration to the lineup is the return of right-arm seamer Diana Baig, who replaces Amber Kainat to add pace firepower to the bowling attack.

Pakistan will launch their World Cup campaign with a high-stakes clash against arch-rivals India on June 14. Their remaining Group fixtures include South Africa (June 17), Bangladesh (June 20), Australia (June 23), and the Netherlands (June 27).

Ahead of the global event, the Green Shirts will compete in a T20I tri-series in Ireland from May 28 to June 4, alongside hosts Ireland and the West Indies. Pakistan is scheduled to play at least four matches — two against each opponent — offering crucial match practice.

To fine-tune preparations further, Pakistan will also play two warm-up matches: against Sri Lanka on June 6 and Scotland on June 9.
