MIAMI, USA: Pakistan’s combat sports sensation Shahzaib Rind continued his meteoric rise on the international stage with a devastating second-round knockout victory over former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Andre Ewell at Karate Combat 61 in Miami, Florida.

Stepping into the spotlight under unexpected circumstances, the unbeaten Pakistani champion showed nerves of steel and raw power to floor his American opponent with a precision head kick.
Quetta-born fighter entered the bout amid chaos. His original opponent, Patricky Pitbull, was ruled out after suffering an injury during a pre-fight altercation. Ewell accepted the clash on short notice, but the last-minute change did not trouble Rind.

From the opening round, the Pakistani controlled the tempo, landing sharp strikes and thudding kicks that kept the American on the back foot.
Midway through the second round, Rind delivered the fight-ending moment, a clean head kick that sent Ewell crashing to the canvas, forcing the referee to wave off the contest immediately.
