NISHIN, Japan: Pakistan’s men’s cricket team will kick start its Asian Games 2026 campaign on Monday, September 28, when it takes on Hong Kong China in the first quarter-final at the Korogi Sports Park.

Pakistan secured a direct place in the quarter-finals alongside arch-rivals India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka by virtue of their rankings, while Hong Kong China booked its knockout-stage berth after finishing second in Group B with two points from two matches.

Hong Kong China finished ahead of bottom-placed Oman, whose final league-stage match against Group B leaders Malaysia was abandoned without a ball being bowled at Korogi Sports Park.
