Pakistan PM to Chair Cabinet Meeting Today

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has convened the federal cabinet meeting to be held today in Islamabad, a local television reported on Friday.

According to the local media, the meeting will hold discussions on economic situation in the country. Some reports suggest that the cabinet will also discuss the overall political situation in the country as well.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Kakar will preside over the federal cabinet meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s office today. According to the local television, meeting will ratify the decision taken by Cabinet Committee on Legislation in it meeting held on November 14. The meeting will also ratify the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee meetings held on November 15.

Earlier on Thursday, the Caretaker PM asked media to increase awareness about prevention of smuggling, power theft and other steps benefiting the common citizens of the country.

According to Radion Pakistan, he said media has a major role in ensuring good governance and creating awareness to the people. He also assured government’s complete cooperation to address the issues facing the newspaper industry in the country.
