ISLAMABAD: Pakistan hoped on Monday that the terrorist attack on Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul would be thoroughly probed and the perpetrators and their facilitators would be made accountable.

The spokesperson of Pakistan’s Foreign Office said that Islamabad is in constant contact with the Afghan authorities on the matter. The spokesperson added that Islamabad remains resolute in its commitment to combat the menace of terrorism.
Some media reports suggest that Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, on his social media account, claimed that Taliban authorities in Afghanistan had captured a member of the Islamic State terrorist group for allegedly carrying out the attack on Pakistan’s top diplomat in Kabul. – APP
