ISLAMABAD: A senior aide to Pakistan’s former Prime Minister and founder of PTI said on Saturday their party would make efforts to form a government as it had won many seats in Thursday’s general election in the country.
Speaking to the media, Barrister Gohar Khan further claimed it was the “first time in Pakistan’s history that a party had won many National Assembly seats from KP”. The current party chief Gohar Ali Khan called on all to respect the party’s mandate, telling a press conference in Islamabad that if complete results were not issued by Saturday night, they would hold a peaceful protest on Sunday. According to WENEWS Urdu, Barrister Gohar Khan said that his party would not form any alliance with former Prime Minister’s Nawaz Sharif’s party.
