ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Egypt have reiterated their shared resolve to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region, as diplomatic engagement intensifies amid shifting geopolitical dynamics, the Foreign Office said on Friday.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a key discussion with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty, during which both leaders exchanged views on the rapidly evolving regional situation. The conversation comes at a time when tensions across the Middle East continue to demand coordinated diplomatic efforts.

According to the Foreign Office, the two top diplomats emphasised the critical importance of dialogue, restraint, and constructive engagement in addressing ongoing conflicts. They stressed that peaceful solutions, backed by collective international efforts, remain essential for ensuring long-term stability and security in the region.

The Foreign Office added that Dar and Abdelatty agreed to remain in close contact, signaling continued coordination between Pakistan and Egypt as diplomatic efforts move forward. Observers see this engagement as part of a wider push by regional players to foster dialogue and avoid further instability.
